America 250 Commemorative Auction
This historic De Zavala Flag, recognized as the first official flag of the Republic of Texas (1836), is a powerful symbol of Texas independence and the American spirit of liberty. Featuring a deep blue field with a bold gold five-pointed star encircled by the letters T-E-X-A-S, this striking design was created (or strongly attributed to) Lorenzo de Zavala, a key leader who signed the Texas Declaration of Independence and served as the Republic’s first Vice President.
Adopted during the Texas Revolution shortly after the fall of the Alamo and the victory at San Jacinto, this flag flew as Texas fought for freedom from Mexico before the more familiar Lone Star Flag was adopted in 1839. Perfect for America’s 250th anniversary celebrations in 2026, it represents the pioneering courage and independence that helped shape the United States.
A rare and meaningful piece of Texas and American history — ideal for collectors, patriots, and history enthusiasts.
